After a slow and in some spots, messy morning commute, things will be better for tomorrow morning. The work week will be pretty quiet (save some big lake effect snows well north and west of the Capital District), but it will also be pretty cold. In fact, downright cold.
We've managed some holes in the overcast but clouds will be the rule as we head into the overnight hours. It'll be a bit breezy which will be good because it will help to keep the roads dry and it'll keep our roads and walks from re-freezing where any of this morning's moisture lingers. That said, there will still be a few slick spots out there as lows overnight fall into the middle and upper 20s.
Tomorrow will keep the clouds around with some light snow developing and moving through rather quickly. This will be mainly south of the immediate Capital District but it'll be enough to coat the ground across the Catskills to the Berkshires, some spots could see an inch or so before it moves out later in the afternoon. It'll otherwise be breezy with highs in the low 30s.
We'll stay dry with falling temperatures thereafter. Wednesday will be a breezy, mainly cloudy day with highs in the upper 20s. Less wind on Thursday but colder still with highs in the upper teens and low 20s.
Clouds stick around into the weekend; we'll be tracking a storm that looks to show up later Saturday into Sunday. Still many days to track it and narrow down what we'll see...stay tuned.
Have a great evening-
