An upper level low will move to the east of the region this afternoon dragging some lingering showers with it. There may be a couple of breaks in the clouds this afternoon and a tightening pressure gradient between the departing low and incoming high pressure will crank the winds up out of the northwest this afternoon. Cold air trailing the departing upper level low may fire off a couple of extra scattered showers this afternoon but mainly northwest of the Capital District.
Skies will clear overnight but the wind will continue to howl out of the northwest. Temperatures will be seasonably chilly falling into the upper 20s and low 30s.
We will have more sunshine tomorrow but it will still be windy and chilly with highs in the mid 50's.
Clouds return for Friday but so will low 60's in some spots; more showers are in the forecast for Saturday.
Have a great day!
