Many school districts locally are collaborating with businesses, community groups, colleges and universities to improve the learning experience for their students.

CNSE Outcreach Programs

In 2011, the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering’s extensive and enduring series of innovative programs, workshops, seminars and conferences promoting educational, community and public outreach served more than 50,000 individuals, including over 10,000 K-12 students across New York.

BOCES Programs

Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES strives to serve all students and prepare them for future careers. Therefore, both its Special and Alternative Education as well as its Career and Technical Education programs partner with area businesses and organizations.

 

The Albany Promise Cradle to Career Partnership

A collaborative initiative made up of education, community, business, civic and philanthropic leaders.  The partnership is co-convened by State University of New York Chancellor Nancy Zimpher and Barbara Smith, Chair of the Albany Family Education Alliance.

 

New Netherland Museum
The New Netherland Museum, in partnership with New York State certified educators, has developed curricula that integrate history, math, science, and writing, through the Half Moon's voyage. These curricula, for 4th and 7th grades, introduce learning objectives within the framework of the history of New Netherland.
