Today will start off with some sunshine, but as a storm approaches from the west, the clouds will stream in through the afternoon. It will be dry with highs near 30.
The aforementioned storm will transfer its energy to develop yet another coastal storm. While this storm looks to be farther north than the last few, it still looks like the bulk of the snow will fall to the south of the Capital District. The heaviest snow looks to fall across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Long Island into Southernmost New England. The Catskills may do OK as well. We will track this system closely today and tonight as any deviation in the storm track to the north would bring steadier snow closer to the Capital Region. Right now it looks like the Greater Capital District will get about 1 to 2 inches of snow with more to the south. The North Country will only get snow showers from this storm.
Regardless of the storm's snow and where it falls, it will be breezy and cold as we wrap up the work week and head into the weekend.
Have a great day!
