Concerns voiced about Dinosaur tax breaks

TROY - Some residents are infuriated that Troy is offering tax breaks to a restaurant looking to set up shop.

About a dozen residents voiced their opinions at a public hearing this morning about Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Many of them were upset similar tax breaks weren't offered to other businesses in the city.

The city is offering thousands of dollars in tax exemptions to the restaurant owner who wants to occupy the old Fresno's building.

The owner says the tax credit will help pay for the back taxes the previous owner of the Fresno's building left behind.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is a restaurant that started in Syracuse. The owner opened up other Dinosaur Bar-B-Que's in Rochester and Harlem.
