Avocado Smoothie

6 servings


OK!  This is not your average—maybe—predictable smoothie but hey, what are you waiting for?

 

Ingredients:

-      1 ripe avocado

-        1 cup milk

-        1 cup sweetened condensed milk

-        Pinch of salt

-        2-2 ˝ cups of ice

 

Method:

-        Combine all in a blender.

-        Add ice.

-        Stand blender, mixing slowly.

-        Pulse until very smooth.

-        Serve chilled, garnish with lime or fruit.

 

Note: A ripe avocado is a must.  For this one, you should indulge at least one time a season.  Avocado is a great source of protein, carbohydrates and other nutrients.  It also contains good fat.
