Running for a cause
The end of the summer becomes crunch time if you've been putting off a running program.. particularly if you want to take part in the abundance of early fall races .. many of them for worthy causes. Yes, there's the Race for the Cure, which I'll have more on in the weeks to come ..and yes, there's the Teal Ribbon Run sponsored byCaring Together, women battling or fighting to support those battling, Ovarian Cancer. But there's a new run this fall .. Capital Region Special Surgery, is running a 5K race to raise awareness about cancers of the head, neck, brain and spine. All the proceeds (100%) of your donation will go to patient services at St. Peter's Hospital's Cancer Care Center. It's October 25th . check out http://www.capitalregionspecialsurgery.com/raceforhopealbany/
