State Police: Man abused children for years

HALFMOON -- State Police have arrested and charged David MacDonald, 44, with 12 counts of rape and four counts of sexual abuse.

Police say MacDonald had forcible sex with a child under 13-years old and abused another child under the age of 11. He was arrested Thursday by State Police Clifton Park. An additional charge of sexual abuse was added Friday. 

These arrests stem from incidents in the City of Schenectady, where MacDonald lived before moving to the Town of Halfmoon. These incidents involved three separate victims and occurred over the last few years. MacDonald was arraigned before Judge Vincent Versaci, City of Schenectady and remanded to Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
