Auto mechanic arrested for growing marijuana
RUTLAND, VT -- A self-employed auto mechanic from Orwell, VT is charged with growing marijuana at his home on Fisher Road.
Vermont State Police say Mike Shaw was charged with felony Marijuana Cultivation/Possession on October 8. After a two-week investigation by Trooper Daniell, he searched Shaw's shop on Needham Road and his home on Fisher Road, both in Orwell.
As a result of the search warrants, Police seized a total of 32 guns, multiple pounds of processed marijuana and located several active grow operations on property owned by Shaw.
Shaw is scheduled to appear in court November 9. The investigation is still ongoing.
