Women Against MS

  We know that MS strikes more women than men .. it's also known that people in northern climates, like here in the Capital Region, are more likely to develop the disease. With that in mind the local chapter of the MS society took a page from larger chapters and 4 years ago launched the Women Against MS luncheon - to honor those women making a difference in the area - to celebrate those who are battling this disease and raise awareness and funds for the continued battle.

(The first chair, nationally was acclaimed actress Terri Garr who suffers from MS)

   This years WAMS luncheon is set for Friday, November 6th. The keynote speaker, Yvonne Conte is a well known motivational humorist .

   2 local women will be honored for their community service:  Ellen Sax - Vice President of Community Relations for Key Bank, and Karen Zalewski-Wildzunas - Owner of Regalo.

 The WAMS luncheon begins at 11:30 at the Wolferts Roost Country Club
