Albany man stabbed four times early Saturday morning

ALBANY -- A 49-year old Park Avenue man was stabbed four times in the upper back but does not want to find his attacker. It happened early Saturday morning outside 119 Philip Street.

The victim, Donald Franklin, told police he went outside around 1:!5 AM after hearing a noise at his girlfriend's apartment and was ambushed. A black man described as six-foot tall, about 20-years old, was standing in front of the building and when Franklin asked him if everything was all right, the man attacked him with the knife.

Franklin was driven by his girlfriend to St. Peter's Hospital. According to Police, his injuries are not life threatening. Franklin told police at the hospital he did not want to pursue the matter any further.
