Police were called to the basement apartment for a man unresponsive at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday. A female acquaintance of the victim found the body. When rescue crews arrived, they found the victim dead.

Albany police describe the victim as a man in his 30's from downstate. His name has not yet been released.

Police say an autopsy is scheduled for Sunday to determine cause of death. Detectives are investigating.
