Police probe connection between missing teen, fiery crash

TROY - DNA will determine if the person who died in a fiery crash last Wednesday is also the teenager who went missing in Troy that same day.

The evidence is expected back from the state police forensic lab by Friday.

It's a situation no parent would ever want to face. No one has responded to the efforts Eryk D'Entremont's family has taken to find the missing 16-year-old.

"It's all over MySpace. It's all over Facebook. His older brother sent out 200 e-mails. There's nothing, nothing at all," said Eryk's father, Corbet D'Entremont.

1 dead, 2 hurt in Schodack crash
Just days after D'Entremont told police his son had disappeared the police came to him looking for DNA and dental records for the boy. They want to know if they match the body found inside a stolen SUV that crashed into a car and then burst into flames last Wednesday in Schodack.

"Honestly no, honestly no. I'm sick of people say it tired of people telling me he's dead," an emotional D'Entremont said as he placed his hand over his mouth.

It's been a difficult week for a family who wants answers. But more than that, they want to find their loved one alive.

"Hell, hell not knowing. Everywhere I turn, it's prepare yourself for the worst," D'Entremont said.

Anyone with information about Eryk is asked to call Troy police.

A second car, a green Jeep Cherokee, is said to be involved in the crash. If you have any information about that, call the state police.
