Trooper killed in crash attended UAlbany
CATSKILL - The state trooper killed in a car crash Wednesday in Catskill was a former student at the University at Albany.
A school spokesman says David Lane attended UAlbany from 1997 to 1999.
The four-year state police veteran died when his patrol car slammed into a utility pole.
Lane, who worked in Catskill, is originally from Watertown. He was there Tuesday night to help his mother celebrate her election win as county clerk.
