Two bouncers stabbed during fight at Albany bar early Saturday
ALBANY -- Two bouncers at a city nightclub were stabbed during a fight early Saturday morning and the suspect ran off, police said.
Detectives are investigating the incident inside of "Envy" at the corner of North Pearl St. and Pine St. at 3:30 AM. The victims, Roger Zapata, 23, and Carl Holmes, 22, were attempting to break up a fight and suffered wounds to their stomach and arm.
Police say that Zapata was stabbed in his stomach and Holmes was stabbed in his left arm. Both men were taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment. Their wounds are not considered serious.
The suspect is described as a light skin black male, bald and approximately 5’10”. He was last seen running north on North Pearl Street towards the Capital Rep parking garage.
Police say it is not clear if the suspect was involved in the altercation the bouncers were attempting to break up.
