Father of 10 gets prison time for raping a young girl

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) - A father of 10 was sentenced to 14 years in prison for raping a young girl repeatedly over a two-month period in 2008.

Forty-one-year-old Mack Threatt appeared before Judge Richard Giardino in Schenectady Thursday. He said he regrets his crime and what it has done to his family. His 10 children range in age from 2 to 20 years.

Threatt has four prior convictions, three of them for sexual offenses.
