Messages get Guilderland cops in trouble

GUILDERLAND – Four police officers in Guilderland have been disciplined for sending inappropriate instant messages to each other while on duty.

At a news conference Thursday afternoon town Supervisor Ken Runion says the officers sent the messages from the computers in their cars.

A source tells NewsChannel 13 the messages included “locker room talk” – talk about other co-workers, where to drive to spot a good-looking woman and jokes about bodily functions.

Runion says the officers are not suspended. They remain on duty and are still being paid.
