Police arrest man accused of punching woman

AMSTERDAM - Amsterdam police arrested a man who they say punched a woman in the face, slashed her tires, and then when officers tried to arrest him, they say he attacked them too.
Police say 27-year-old Gabriel Arroyo fought off and punched four officers in the head and face early Thursday morning.
He then ran to his closet but police were able to stop him. Police say they found a loaded shot gun in his closet, and believe he was reaching for the gun while officers were trying to arrest him.
