Cooling centers, spray pads open due to hot weather

Six spray pads are being turned on in the City of Albany for kids to cool off Wednesday.

The Lincoln Park Pool will open one day earlier this year, at 3 p.m. Thursday.

In Troy, the pools will not open be open. The fire chief says they're still working on getting some spray pads going.

Also, a number of cooling stations will be open Wednesday and Thursday. In Montgomery County, cooling stations are located at the Horace Inman Center in Amsterdam, the Canajoharie Library, the Fort Plain Senior Center and the Saint Johnsville Community Center and Village Hall.

Upper Lincoln Spray Pool

Morton and Delaware Avenue - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Westland Hills Pool

Colvin Avenue - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Lower LIncoln Park Pools

Eagle Street and Morton Avenue - 12:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Closed 4:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Mater Christi Pool

New Scotland Avenue - 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Closed 4:15 to 5:00 p.m.
