TROY - A Troy company is among three private contractors accused of using thousands of dollars in government funds to give staff bonus, fix up a weekend getaway and pay for no-show executives.
Comptroller Tom DiNapoli says the firm, Capital District Beginnings diverted more than $800,000 for inappropriate expenses.
Those are among the findings of the first of 18 audits being conducted by DiNapoli of the preschool special education program.
The two other firms called out by the comptroller are in the Bronx and Brooklyn.
