New York State STOP DWI Association announced Monday that law enforcement across New York will crackdown on drunk driving during the Fourth of July holiday.

The STOP-DWI Crackdown will begin on June 29 and will run through July 5. According to STOP DWI New York, this period is historically the deadliest holiday period of the year for impaired driving.

New York State Police, County Sheriff and Municipal Law Enforcement Agencies across the state will be on the roads in efforts to reduce the number of alcohol related injuries and deaths.

The STOP DWI Crackdown Campaign also targets St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekend.
