ALBANY - An internal investigation is underway into an inmate's attempted escape in Albany.

NewsChannel 13 first reported this story last week. Kathryn Gorman is accused of bolting from officers while in City Court.

Police say Gorman asked to go to the bathroom while waiting to be arraigned on drug charges.

According to police, she was asked to stand in line with other inmates and then made her break. She was captured outside the building less than a minute later in the parking lot.
