There is an update Friday night on the local 15-year-old stabbing victim, now getting some much needed medical help in Georgia.

The mother of Adeujaun Adams says the boy is doing well, excelling in his therapy and is now able to make small movements with his hands and legs. Doctors also say his spinal cord was not 100-percent severed.

Prosecutors say Adams was stabbed by another teen who tried to steal his bicycle in Albany last month.

St. Peter's Hospital and other anonymous donors helped send him to Georgia for specialized care.
