Bennington police evacuate apartments after chemical call

BENNINGTON, Vt. - Police in Bennington believe a man was setting up a meth lab in his apartment after they got a call about suspicious chemicals on the property and evacuated some neighbors.

Police got a call for many chemicals in an apartment at the 200 block of School Street Monday night. Police shut down the street while officers collected the chemicals.

Nearby neighbors evacuated. No charges have been filed. Police are holding a news conference this afternoon.
