GLENVILLE - Glenville police have arrested a Colonie man accused of stealing bikes and attempting to sell them on Ebay.

Police said 24-year-old Jason S. Dyer was charged with one count of burglary and one count of grand larceny, which are both felonies.

Dyer is accused of breaking into a garage on Virginia Blvd. in Glenville and stealing about $3,000 worth or property, including two 21 speed racing bikes.

The bikes were seen for sale on Ebay and were located at a pawn shop in the same neighborhood as the suspect.

Officer Tim Mell responded to the pawn shop where the bikes were sold to and the owner of the shop positively identified Dyer as the seller of the bikes.

Dyer was taken to the Glenville Police Department where he was charged and processed. He was arraigned in the Town of Glenville Court and taken to Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or bail bond.

He is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday, July 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Glenville residents are asked to check their properties to see if they have been a victim of Dyer. Residents are asked to call Glenville Police at 384-3444 if they have any information.
