Local fencer competes in Olympics Friday

Wynantskill Fencer Jeff Spear made his Olympic debut Friday competing in the men's team sabre event Friday morning although the team did not fare well.
They lost to Russia in the quarterfinals and China in the semi-finals.
This was the only Olympic event that Spears was scheduled to compete in.
