Troy man charged with possessing pot after investigation

TROY – A six month long drug investigation ended with the arrest of a Troy man Friday.

Troy police said that 24-year-old Jordan Scott of Sixth Avenue was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Police said that at 7 a.m. Friday the Troy Police Special Investigations Unit along with the New York State Police CNET unit executed a search warrant for the first floor of 430 Sixth Avenue in Troy.

When authorities arrived at the scene, 8.5 grams of cocaine was recovered along with a small amount of marijuana. About $3,000 in cash was also found.

Scott was arraigned Friday morning in Troy and taken to the Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
