Investigators are looking into a strange coincidence involving a shootout, a man, and possibly his girlfriend who lived in one of the houses and the site of an earlier arson.

Some people are convinced it is retribution for a drug-related shootout that happened a couple of months ago.

Fire victim Amy Pelladino said there was a man that moved into the house where the blaze was set after he and his girlfriend were burned out of a house in 118 Street, the setting of an earlier arson. She said she believes this man was involved in a drug related shootout just behind the house a few months ago.

Troy firefighters report that they had thought it was his girlfriend who had moved to the arson site, but believe that it is a weird coincidence either way.

Troy Mayor Lou Rosamilia announced the fire and police control will be driving around the area through the streets from midnight tonight until 6:00 tomorrow morning.

The mayor says these measures are to reassure people they are there, they are going to commit their financial and personal resources to as necessary.
