ALBANY - What's being called one of the largest actions against fracking in New York happened Monday in Albany.
A coalition of groups that oppose hydraulic fracturing to get at natural gas pockets gathered at the Corning Preserve.
Protesters say they will deliver thousands of pledges of resistance demanding Governor Cuomo ban fracking.
Proponents say it can be done safely.
The controversial technology uses millions of gallons of chemically treated water to blast open gas-rich shale deposits deep underground.
Cuomo is expected to decide soon on whether to allow fracking in the state.
