COLONIE - A heavily traveled bridge in the Capital Region is set to undergo repair work.
The Department of Transportation is replacing the decking on the Twin Bridges on the Northway.
Beginning Friday, September 7, crews will replace the decking on the northbound lanes.
Northbound drivers will be directed to the southbound side of the bridge, which will have one lane open in each direction.
All lanes will be open for the Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of October.
The southbound deck will be replaced next year.
