The 46 Senate District contains parts of Montgomery, Schenectady, Albany, Greene, and Ulster Counties.

Note: Incumbent Neil Breslin (D) is running for re-election in District 44.

Democrat

·Cecilia F. Tkaczyk In addition to running on the Democratic ticket, Tkaczyk is running on the Working Families Party ticket.

Republican

·George A. Amedore, Jr. In addition to running on the Republican ticket, Amedore is running on the Conservative Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets.
