NISKAYUNA - A standoff in niskayuna that lasted for more than seven hours ended with a 16-year-old taken into custody.
The standoff began just before 4 p.m. on Monday. Police say James Catuccio was in a house on Cunningham Court with loaded guns, threatening to kill himself and threatening to shoot at police officers if he was confronted.
Police say one other person was in the house at the time and she was able to leave the house unharmed several hours after the stand off began.
Then around 11 p.m. police say Catuccio came out of the house and was taken into custody.
All roads that were closed because of the incident are now reopened.
