SCHENECTADY – A Schenectady man is facing drug charges after police say they raided a Van Vranken Avenue home for the third time.

Police say a lengthy investigation led to a search warrant being executed at 1513 Van Vranken Ave. Tuesday morning.

Israel Torres, 47, was taken into custody. He’s charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Police recovered a rifle, a small amount of drugs and some cash.

No one was injured. However, police did shoot and kill a dog during the bust.

Police say this is the third raid conducted at this address in 18 months.
