Local students get hands-on with science and technology

More than 100 local students spent Saturday learning about science and engineering by doing experiments designed to be fun.
The students took part in the Nano Discovery Program, held at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. The event was part of the 5th annual celebration of Nanovember. It’s designed to help introduce children to the world of science and engineering in a fun way.
“We need to see more kids getting interested in science and engineering fields in general, and it's really important that we have a diverse group of scientists and engineers in the United States,” Dan White, CNSE.
“I have no idea what I want to be when I get older, and science does seem cool,” Ben Morton, Albany.
The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering partnered with the Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region for Saturday’s event.
