Dog dies in Colonie house fire

COLONIE - A dog is dead after a house fire in Colonie.
The fire broke out just after noon at 96 Elm Street.
The dog was found dead inside.
Police tell us the homeowner was out of town and not home at the time.
Investigators are interviewing people in the case, though they are not classifying the fire as criminal at this point.
