The fate of an old Watervliet church may be decided tonight.
There was a proposal to tear down Saint Patrick’s Church and replace it with a shopping center.
A special meeting of city council has been called for Tuesday at the senior center.
Developer John Nigro says the city would generate $135,000 in property taxes the first year.
But many people want to save the 122-year-old church.
Tuesday's meeting begins at 6:30p.m.
