No program or head coach deserves to win a state championship more than Burnt Hills and Matt Shell. The Spartans are making their fourth trip to Syracuse since 2008 and each time have come up empty. The law of averages says Burnt Hills is due to win, but it won't be easy against undefeated Sweet Home, a team it has lost to twice in the title game. Shell has done a phenomenal job with the program because his team is good every year. Here is hoping that this is the year Burnt Hills brings home a long-overdue state championship. The Spartans will be well prepared, Shell will make sure of that.
