ALBANY - The Albany man killed in a horrific accident over the weekend will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Paul Merges Jr. died Saturday while riding his bike in Albany.
Police say he was hit by a truck during a police chase and became entangled in its roof rack.
He remained trapped there for the rest of the nearly 100 mile per hour chase that went through several parts of Albany and Schenectady counties.
The driver, 39-year-old Pablo Cruz faces charges of vehicular manslaughter, DWI and violating parole.
