KINGSTON - There may soon be a winner in the race for the 46th State Senate District.
Republican George Amedore still has a slim lead over Democrat Cecilia Tkaczyk, but NewsChannel 13 received word from a judge that they told both campaigns and election officials to keep going with the count for the night.
It was too close to call on election night, and is still too close to call at last count Tuesday night.
Amedore currently is leading by 110 votes, with the over 12,000 ballots now down to around 800, with Ulster County the last to be counted.
The race will most likely be decided by a judge, since there were hundreds of paper ballots that were challenged and set aside.
The campaigns are scheduled to be in court on Thursday.
