Berkshire County man charged with raping six-year-old

A 30-year-old Pittsfield man is accused of raping a six year old girl.
Erick Ruiz pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Tuesday.
The alleged incident took place earlier this month.
The DA's office will not tell NewsChannel13 if Ruiz is related to the girl or who alerted police.
He is charged with rape of a child, with force.
He was taken to jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
