SARATOGA COUNTY - Two gun show operators, including one from Saratoga County have struck a deal with New York's Attorney General to help keep illegal guns off the streets.

The agreement involves NEACA of Saratoga County and another operator out of Chautauqua County.

Under the deal, the operators will tag guns brought to shows by private sellers.

That will make it possible to monitor their sales and ensure background checks are performed.

The announcement comes a year after the attorney general charged 10 sellers with failing to run background checks before making sales at gun shows around the state.
