ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New Yorkers give high marks to Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Michael Bloomberg for their reaction to Superstorm Sandy, but are far less happy with the Long Island Power Authority.

A Siena College poll released Monday finds 67 percent of the voters surveyed thought Cuomo did an excellent or good job dealing with the storm and its aftermath. Bloomberg was rated excellent or good by 55 percent of those polled.

That compares to 20 percent who thought LIPA was did a good or excellent job. The power provider has been under fire by critics who say it took too long to restore power to thousands of customers.

The statewide telephone poll of 822 registered voters was conducted Nov. 26-29. It has a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.
