TROY - The retrial of Rensselaer County Elections Commissioner Edward McDonough is just about wrapped up with what could be the final witness on the stand.

Mcdonough is accused of taking part in a democratic scheme to forge ballots in order to win the Working Families Party line in the 2009 primary.

McDonough and former Troy City Councilman Michael LoPorto were both tried last year, and the case ended in a mistrial.

LoPorto was found not guilty in his retrial.

John McLoughlin has more.
