ALBANY - The conviction of the man found guilty of killing UAlbany student will stand.
The Albany man, Devon Callicut, is guilty of killing student Richard Bailey during a botched robbery back in 2008.
He then went on to rob someone else.
A State Appeals Court today affirmed the conviction.
In their final judgment, the judges said they “Reject the defendant's claim that his sentence was harsh and excessive. He committed a heinous, senseless, murder of an unarmed 19 year old and, just minutes later, held a gun to the head of another innocent victim, threatening his life.”
Callicut is serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole.
