Closing arguments could begin Friday afternoon in the second ballot fraud trial of Troy Election Commissioner Ed McDonough.
McDonough is accused of taking part in a Democratic scheme to forge ballots in order to win the working families party line in the 2009 primary.
McDonough and former Troy City Councilman Michael LoPorto were both tried last year, and the case ended in a mistrial.
LoPorto was found not guilty in his retrial.
Mcdonough's case will go to the jury after closing arguments.
