GREENFIELD - The Saratoga County man accused of killing his mother and then burying her body under a shed pleads not guilty.
We were there when Joshua McWain entered into court.
The Greenfield man is charged with second degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Police say the 27-year-old killed Carol Stanford with some kind of blunt instrument on Oct. 27.
Her body wasn't found until the 30th when neighbors told police they hadn't seen her in a while.
McWain didn't say anything as he left court.
The DA says “this didn't have to happen over a relatively minor event. We're not going to characterize the event, but it was over domestic dispute, something that many many families argue over for nothing, this kind of nonsensical arguments that turn into something more and this one obviously turned into the most egregious ending.”
