SCHODACK - New information has been released on a deadly stabbing in Schodack that claimed the life of a local business owner.
State police confirm the suspect, Jason Guynup, is 36 years old -- not 29 as they initially reported.
He's accused of stabbing his estranged girlfriend, 33-year-old Nikki Hart, at their home on Bri Lan Avenue.
Police said Monday that Hart had an order of protection against Guynup, which was served on Friday. They say Hart was fearful for her life and had an adult relative staying with her, who was in the home at the time of the murder.
Guynup was arrested after police say crashed his car on Hayes Road.
Hart owned Hart Real Estate in Schodack.
The couple had two children, one and two years old.
