Mets part company with R.A. Dickey

R.A. Dickey left his mark on New York, but I understand why the Mets traded the popular knuckleball pitcher to the Toronto Blue Jays for prospects. The Mets are going to be a good team but not this season, so sending their cy young award winner to the Blue Jays for a couple of young guys who can help mold their future makes sense.  This trade is not about this season, but it's about the Mets future, and unfortunately, Dickey did not fit into those plans.
