Region awarded $50 million for economic development

ALBANY - The Capital Region is being awarded more than $50 million for economic development.
The funding was announced Wednesday at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.
The grant money comes after a competition between ten regions across the state.
The competition was launched by Governor Andrew Cuomo last year.
