ALBANY - Another underground fire brings traffic to a halt on North Pearl Street in Albany.

It happened around noon on North Pearl and Pine Street.

National Grid tells NewsChannel 13 a wire was smoking underground.

The manhole cover, however, did not come off.

Some businesses lost power later in the afternoon as part of a planned outage in order to fix the problem.

This is the latest in a series of underground fires that have plagued the city over the past several months.
