TROY - A former director of Father Peter Young's drug treatment program has been arrested.

Dennis Bassat is accused of stealing at least $200,000 from the non-profit organization over a four year period.

Last week, federal agents raided several facilities run by Father Peter Young, including the Altamont Program in Schenectady.

The State Attorney General's office said Bassat could be sentenced to five to 15 years behind bars if convicted.

The Peter Young Organization issued a statement saying that it has reorganized management teams since its first internal investigation last year.

It said they're committed to success in transforming the addicted, homeless and unemployed.
